  1. The "cross-roads" at the head of Brusselstown joins three roads. One leads to Kyle, a second to Knockaderry Cross and a third to Killabeg.
    The Kyle road passes through Moortown and Spynans. There is an old story told about Spynans. Once there was a Convent there. The English were told, by a spy, about it. They came and tortured the Nuns. That road and district are known ever since as Spy-nuns.
    Killabeg road. It is said that long, long ago there was a little church in a field near the "cross".
    There is a litle road leading from the "Slough"-or middle of the Killabeg road, to Ballycarrigeen and crossing the hill to Raheen
