  1. In Seskin, there is a field called the " LONG-STONE FIELD " beacause there is a long stone standing in it. A giant was supposed to have thrown this long stone, from the top of Lugnaquilla, at a man in the field. It struck a sheep and killed it. The stone is there still and the dead sheep is under it.

The " RATH FIELD " in Knockaderry gets its name from a rath in the field.
