There was a very bad storm on the 24th. February 1933. There came a great storm of snow and wind. The snow was twelve feet high on the ground and no-one could go anywhere to shop.
There was a great number of cattle and sheep drifted in the snow, and most of them died because the people could not go out to look for them. The wind swept the roof off a great many houses and out-offices.
The roofs were carried miles with the wind. When the snow stopped, the fields
