    of trees. Some fell across the road and it was impossible for traffic to pass.
    No people in the district went out till the storm was over, afraid they would be killed.
    There was heavy damage done in other places and a great number of lives lost.
    There was also a terrible thunder-storm, twenty-three or four years later.
    A cloud burst, and covered the whole mountain with froth and the roads four feet deep with water, and the people on the mountain, drawing home the turf were almost swept away.
