    Hark! how the chairs and table crack.
    Old Betty's joints are on the rack.

    Loud quack the ducks, the peacock cry,
    The distant hills are looking nigh.
    How restless are the snorting swine.
    The busy fly disturb the Kine.

    Low over the grass, the swallow wings
    The cricket, too, how sharp she sings.
    Puss on the hearth with velvet paw.
    Sits wiping over her whisker jaw.
