  1. Goat hair on the sky is a sign of rain. When wild geese or ducks fly inland we may expect a storm. If the sun goes down red we may expect fine weather. When there is cold and gloomy weather snow often follows. When swallows fly low in summer we may have rain. When the crows all gather in a high tree we might have rain sometime. When the cat turns her back to the fire a storm often follows. When sea gulls fly inland a storm sometime follows.
