    The Ballynunnery Ghost
Once upon a time there was a girl working in a farmer's house in Ballynunnery. One night there were four sick cattle in the cow house. About twelve o'clock a great noise was heard in the yard. The girl, thinking that the sick cows had got up, arose. She went out to the cow house and found the cows all right. She came in, got into bed, but after some time again, the noise repeated. Then, listening well, she heard carriages and other vehicles, and also hunters. She told her master, and he said this was very common. The people of that house informed the priest, and he came next day and blessed the home.
