    7. When during the day grey lines are seen in the sky the evening is going to be wet. These grey lines were called water-pipes by the old people.
    8. When the night is frosty next day is usually very fine.
    9. When the sea-gulls fly inland & cry we are going to have rain.
    10. The swallows fly high before fine weather & low before wet weather
    11. When the smoke blows down the chimney we will have rain.
    12. Soot falls in lumps before rain.
