    Most marriages took place at that time of the year which comes before Ash Wednesday and is called Shrove-Tide. May is the most unlucky month of the year to get married in, because the May Bush is supposed to bring bad luck. There is an old rhyme which runs in the following manner.
    "Monday for Health,
    Tuesday for wealth,
