    the newly married people come home. This is called a hauling home.
    the bride brings a fortune with her if she is going to her husband's home, and he does likewise if he is marrying into her house, also they get cattle and horses sometimes. matches are still made in the district and sometimes the bride has never seen her husband till the wedding day. Still they live very happily.
    Long ago the horses under the carriages were fine animals. No one took a horse that wasn't of fine build and quick to go.
