hands and grant us good success.
    Prayer before going to sleep.
    Jesus, tender shepherd, hear me,
Bless Thy little child to night.
In the darkness be Thou near me,
Keep me safe till morning's light.
All this day Thy hands have led me, And I thank Thee for Thy care.
Thou hast warmed, clothed and fed me,
    Listen to my evening prayer.
Keep me safe from every danger,
Let Thine Angels guard my bed,
Thou hadst nothing but a manger,
Where to lay Thy sacred head.
Let my sins be all forgiven,
Bless the friends I love so well.
Take me, when I die, to Heaven,
Happy there, with Thee to dwell.
