    Fairy Forts
    There are forts in Rathmoyle, Barnagrotty, Cloncannon and Army-Hill. These forts are circular in shape and are not in view of each other. There is a fence of trees round each of the two in Barnagrotty.
    Trees are not supposed to grow near Healy's fort in Rathmoyle.
    It was planted some years ago and the young trees died. This fort is called a "life fort".
    One of the forts in Barnagrotty is supposed to have money hidden in it and people have seen lights like candle lights from it.
    Long ago a man was ploughing in the field beside the fort. He came across a flagstone. When trying to lift it he heard a rattle going from the flag into the fort and he got afraid and he left it there.
