- I buy snare wire which is thin brass wire made for that purpose.
Next I get five pieces of this wire each about two feet long and twist them and leave a loop at each end.
Then I put one loop out through the other loop to form a running noose.
Next I get a long piece of binder twine, double it and plait it and then I put one end of the twine into the free end of the snare.
Then I get a peg about six inches long and tie the twine to it. This is stuck in the ground so that the rabbit will not be able to get away with it.
