  2. (1) A cake is made for the supper. In it is put a ring, a thimble and a stick. Then it is sliced up and shared out. It is said that whoever gets the ring will be married first, and person who gets the thimble will be married to a tailor, and the person who gets the stick will be an old maid or bachelor.
    (2) A tub is placed in the middle of the floor and apples are put in it. then the hands of the people are tied behind their backs and they have to dive for the apples.
    (3) Each person places two hazel nuts on the bar of the grate
