  1. Half a mile from Killurine Cross on the left hand side, on the road to Tullamore, there is a road which leads to the old church. Through this lane came the Danes to rob the church. The passed by where two ash trees now grow. The drank water at the well behing the ruins. There was a battle fought by the Dains, behind Dunnes.
