    Riadóg (found in bog) cures boths in horses. Boil the weed and give it to them.
    Yarrow and lard are made into ointment for a burn.
    Grounsel cures "hard craw" in turkeys.
    Foxglove is a cure for jaundice.
    Chick-weed, docks, spunk and kecks are used as pig food.
    Nettles are given to young turkeys and young ducks.
    Boiled ferns, riadóg, heather and the bark of the elm make 4 separate green dyes.
    Praiseac and "Cattle" are supposed to be poisonous weeds.
    Watercress is used as a vegetable by some people. When mixed with lard it can be made into ointment for burns.
    Verbine is a cure for Measles. It grows in spring and is difficult to find. You boil it and drink the water. Whoever wishes to be cured pulls the weed, and while so doing, repeats the following prayer. "Blessed is the verbine which grows in the ground.
    It was on Mt Calvary it was first found.
    It is a cure for the sick and a heal for the sound,
