  1. Fairy Forts
In a field in Sprinfield now owned by people named Grady there is a "fairy ring". Cattle and sheep graze the field. It has been noticed that in the mornings in a certain place the grass has been cropped low in a perfect circle.
On Mountlucas hill there is a circular grove. No one would cut the trees there. People say that formerly a "spirit" tormented the people of the district at night. A priest was told about it and he banished the spirit to this grove till the day of judgement.
