  1. Hanlons and Bowes were the names of two families who were evicted from Clonsast. There is a field in Clonsast called 'Hanlon's field' and there is a big spot marking the spot where house was. There is another field in Clonsast called 'Bowe's corner' and there is a closed up well near it.
    Heffernans and Hynans were the names of other families evicted from their homes in Clonsast.
