  1. There are very few Forges in this district are. The names of them are Mr. Kehoe's in Graiguemore, Mr. Somer's in Graigue and Mr. Cartons in Tombrack. The work they do is shoeing horses and asses and mending farm implements. There is a slated roof on Mr. Kehoe's Forge but the door is not the shape of a horse shoe. The blacksmith has only one fire in the forge and it is blown with water. The rub of water in which the blacksmith cools the irons is supposed to cure warts.
