  2. Oaten stirabout was eaten at breakfast and supper. For their dinner they got potatoes and buttermilk or sweet milk and on one or two days they would get potatoes and cabbage and salted meat. Oaten bread and wheaten bread were eaten. Ling fish was eaten. The only vegetable used was cabbage. Oaten bread was eaten but it is not eaten now-a-days.
