    Dún Conáin. Said to be fort of Conán mac Morna of Fianna. I believe name is from Dún-Ceann-Fhionn as in Duncannon etc (Joyce)

    Surely not Poll fhuar: it is not fuar. Tobar a spring, gushing stream, millstream also FOTHAR a wood or forest.

    LADYWELL
    Tobar Mhuire, Folklore says this holy well was in Conna. There used be medals and other holy objects in it. A "lady" used sit beside it at night.
