    bought in the shop. The potatoes are cut into sets and they are set in rows about eighteen inches apart. Each set must contain an eye. The local people help one another in sowing the potatoes by lending horses and weapons. The potatoes are sprayed three times during June and July. The first spraying is put on in the end of June, and the second spraying is put on in the beginning of July, and the third spraying is put on in the middle of July. The potatoes are dug in October with spades and potatoe-diggers. The men stand in the furrow when digging with a spade. My brothers pick the potatoes. They pick the big ones first and then they pick the little ones. The big ones are kept for eating and the small ones are given to pigs and hens. The potatoes are stored in pits and they are covered with straw and clay. The names of the local potatoes are champions, pinks,
