    for telling stories. The forge is a great place for story-telling at night as it is warm and some of the men sit on the hearth. He shoes horses and asses. William Gunshinan could make a kind of churning machine - it was fixed in the wall in the barn or dairy and by moving a handle up and down it worked the dash in the churn. There are a few of these machines in this district at present.
