white. There was also an old churn in our house. It was about four feet high and narrow in the middle with wooden hoops. This churn was scrubbed white with sand every time milk was churned in it. There was a long dash for churning and it was also scrubbed and left out on a bush to air. The led of the churn had a hole in it for the dash. And a coppin for the hole to prevent the cream from sporting out when churning. There were also holes in the churn led for letting out the air.
