  1. Jaundice. There is a family named Mulvihill in the townland of Ardaghill who cure yellow Jaundice successfully, especially young and middle-aged people. The treatment of a very old person may not be always successful.
    The preparation is taken in new milk on Mondays and Thursdays
    Ring-Worm. There is a family named McGarry living on Castlerea Mountain in Moydow Parish (Co. Longford) who have a wonderfully successful cure for ring-worm taken from cattle. I have known over half a dozen adults, men, who wasted plenty of money on doctors' remedies, unsuccessfully, but were cured in a couple of days by McGarry's Ointment. It is probably medicinal, as they recommend poulticing and plaster, alternatively. They also disallow meat while suffering.
    Erysipelas. There is a Protestant family in Newtowncashel named Rollins, who cure
