  1. Once upon a time a farmer in Knockdomney was mowing a meadow, and he saw a little man about two feet in height, and he was dressed in red. Now it happened that this particular man had a hum, and this day whilst he was mowing the fairy came up and said to him. "If you go over to that forest on to -morrow evening I will rid you of that hump at once"
    The man was very glad, and went to the forest as the fairy had ordered, and got rid of his hump for ever. In this same district there lived another man who had a hump also and the man who had been cured told him what to do. The second man went to the forest and law down, but
