    And where are all those old friends gone
    Who used to sup with me
    Some are dead and some have fled
    Far far beyond the sea.
    Some there are I'll meet again
    I'll hold a glass there soon
    And we'll toast go leor
    The day s of yore,
    Down round the woods of Doon.

    In this green spot in this kind place.
    There is a pleasant glebe.
    And standing there's a tavern rare.
    Were many a day I stayed.
