    A cooper named McCormack used to make churns out of American oak. He used to cut them out withe an adze in staves. He put them together and tied them with iron hoops. He used to make keelers and butter tubs and he made them out of American oak and tie them up with split sallies. A man named John Baird is able to make baskets and cleaves
