- I live in the townland of Tristernagh. There are eight families living in Tristernagh. The population of Tristernagh is about thirty or thirty five people. The commonest family in Tristernagh is a family of Reilly.There are four thatched houses and four slated houses. There were more houses in the townland of Tristernagh sixty years ago than at present. There were up to forty houses on the bóthar na marbh forty years ago. This bóthar na marbh was a great road long ago in Tristernagh. The meaning of the name Tristernagh is thorns and thistles.There are four old people in the townland of Tristernagh of whom(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
