- (continued from previous page)of a stone of Indian meal was given at Churchtown once a week and once a day a pound of meal was given at Rathconrath. The poor people used to boil nettles and eat them. If they had any meal they poured the Indian gruel over the nettles and if not they ate the nettles just as they were.
