  1. (continued from previous page)
There is not in this whole Irish nation
From Cork up to far Donegal,
As least in their own estimation,
Such swells as the Beaus of Whitehall.
    II
There is some who are bow-legged and bandy
And others who knocks at their knees,
And the third is a dashing find dandy,
That goes to all parties and sprees.
The fourth has a fine big mustache
And the fifth has no rib at all,
And they all think themselves are find dashers,
And loved by the bells of Whitehall.
    III
They oil their hair well upon Sundays,
And give a bright shine to their boots,
They all dress like gents on that one day
    Whatever their daily persuits
Then off to the chapel they swagger,
The cailín's soft hearts to enthrall,
And as they say for a bragger
As every young beau of Whitehall.
