Laurence Clinton. This account was given to me, by my uncle Richard Clinton, Gartlandstown, Crookedwood, Mullingar. - A man named Abie Morris lived in Clonave on the shore of Lough Derravaragh. He crossed to Multyfarnham on the other side of the lake in a cot for a load of potatoes. When he was returning home a storm arose on the lake. The waves were so high that the boat was filled with water and it sank and he was drowned. He had a great big dog with him and the(continues on next page)
