  2. Some years ago there was a mission being held at Boherquill.
    Two old men from Clonave crossed the bog to the mission. Coming back the path across the bog they lost their way but thought they were on the right path which should have brought them past an Old sod house. Instead they were in a cut-away bog. Suddenly the first Paddy stepped into a boghole and not letting on to his companion shouted, "God save all here." Hearing him the other Paddy shouted after him. "Don't shut the door, Paddy avic till I get in," and he flopped into the boghole after him.
