    The name of the hill above our house is called Croisedubh. There was a caldra (graveyard) there and the name is derived from the black crosses erected there.
    There was a great battle fought on Croisedubh between the O'Reilly's of Breffni and the O'Fagans. The leaders on both sides shook hands after the battle and made peace and the dead of both parties are buried there. The mound is
