hills called Rowenagh ( probably "the fort of the fair") It has a very deep trench round it and must have been a place of importance in ancient days. Several fields in Drumsoura retain the old names such as Moinheo and Puarkawaha. The latter field is very fertile, and before the Famine gave such a crop of potatoes that they were left behind and beggarmen from all parts came and filled their sacks from the abundance, and hence its name.
