  1. In the year 1868 there occurred at Cloneyfad a murder in which a man named Brian Cumisky was killed. The following poem is referring to the murder. In the Spot in which the murder took place the people evicted a cross in memory of him. The cross some years afterwards taken down and brought to Belturbet where it is at present.
