    place got it's name from the town of the greyhounds.
    Croc na Coine.
    In a field in Kieran there is a hill or a little mountain and it is called croc na coine, there are fairies in it.
    The moate.
    In Carnaross there is a field of Mr. Strong's and there is a moat in it and there lived a man beside this moat and the man dug it up and the next morning the man was dead and the moat was filled in again.
    Castle Kieran
    It got it's name from an old castle that was in Kieran a long time ago.
    Castlepole.
    Castlepole got it's name the same way from an old castle and division of land in the olden times.
