  1. In one of the last houses in Kilskyre parish at O Daly's Bridge Virgina Road lives Mrs O'Daly a very old lady. Her father was an officer in Grattan's volunteers.
    This lady has in her possession the full uniform worn by her father, she also has a wax candle used at Mass on the hill of Tara. This lady is a cousin of the present Count Plunkett. This Mass was in 1843 and as we know the volenteers existed to 1782.
