    Since Adam was a boy, Mc. Call,
    There's many changes seen,
    From Dublin down to Galway Bay
    From Cork to Bohermeen.
    So I sat musing yesterday
    A dhudeen in my fist
    And I began to ponder on
    The fun that Adam missed.
    (2)
    Sure Adam never went to school
    So could not write with ease
    We heard that he was tied to one,
    And did his best to please.
    He never pored oe'r puzzledom
    Transcribed a solving list;
    And so we never heard about
    The puns that Adam missed.
