Kathleen McLoughlin Std. VI 12 years declared that she herself on an evening of last Summer saw a ghost running along the wall of Cannistown churchyard. It was nothing more or less than a head without a body! _ a woman's head with floating hair. It ran rapidly up and down, up and down on top of the wall.
Two other children accompanied Kathleen. They are Nan Brennan and Daisy McLoughlin. The children were frightened and fled. - (continued from previous page)Lory McLoughlin adds that the ghost of "old Mister McGee is to be seen in the harness room of Captain Meagher's."N.B. The Meagher's own a stretch of land in the Johnstown parish. It is locally known as The Park. They are descendants of John Frances Meagher The Young Irelander.
