    to draw out the matter and cure the wound. If you put a fastening spit on a boil for three mornings in succession it is supposed to take the soreness away.
    5.warts
    a supposed cure for warts is to find a snail without looking for him and put him on a bush, and while the snail is withering away the wart is withering also.
    6. sore eye
    a poultice of bread and buttermilk cures a sore eye.
    7.sore mouth
    if a child that never saw his father breathe into a sore mouth, he is supposed to cure the disease.
    8.mumps
    it is supposed if you put your head inside a piggery for three mornings in a succession it will cure the mumps.
    9.ringworm
    by rubbing with a gold wedding ring three times for three mornings in the name of the shinty it is supposed to be cured.
