    Marriages most frequently take place in this locality during February, April, June September, October and November.
    The months and days that are thought unlucky for marriages are:- May and August Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
    People make pan-cakes on shrove Tuesday because it is the day before Lent when we have to fast and abstain
    People who can afford it, give money as a dowry.
    Goods are often given - as a suite of furniture, but stock is seldom given
