    A card fell under the table and a gentleman stooped down to pick it up, and he saw the cloven foot of the strange man, He went for the priest unknown to the rest of the party. The priest came and shook holy water on the strange man and uttered some words. The man disappeared through the wall. There is a split in the wall still where the devil (for it was he) went out through it.
