    30. It is unlucky to light the Christmas candle before Christmas Eve, or to light any object from it.
    31. It brings seven years bad luck to hit anyone with an alder stick or take a bit of this tree into the house, or to burn alder stick.
    32. It is unlucky to bring in hawbossom for decoation or Ferns.
    33. It is lucky to turn money when you see a new moon.
