    When the cat sits with its back to fire it is the sign of storm
    When cows are seen lying for a long time it is the sign of rain.
    When goats are seen on hills it is the sign of good weather but when they come down to valleys it is the sign of rain.
    When sheep are seen feeding early in morning it is the sign of a bad day.
    When blue blazes are seen in the fire it is the sign of frost.
    If the sky is red in the morning it is the sign rain
    If red in the evening it is the sign of a good morrow.
    Flocks of crows and stares are the sign of rain.
    When sheep are grazing near the ditch it is the sign of storm.
    If the smoke goes up straight it is the sign of good weather, if it blows low it is the sign of rain.
    When swallows fly low it denotes rain.
    If cattle go in shelter when it begins to rain it is a sign that it will rain for a long time.
    If pigs carry straw on their feet it is the sign of storm.
    If the curlew gives a double call it denotes rain
    If sea gulls or wild geese come inland it denotes storm.
    If stones sweat it is the sign of rain
