  1. The game I like best is Hop Scotch. Four or five can play this game, one at a time. First I make with a tick ten squares on a road. Then I get a little flat stone and begin throwing it into the squares starting at number one. Then I begin hopping at number one. When I reach number ten I turn and come back, and do not finish till I come back to one. As I reach number one I lift the stone and hop on till I get outside the squares, and if I leave down my foot I have to start at the beginning again. I keep going on like that till I end at number ten.
    But if I miss the number I am going for, I have to wait till whoever is playing with me finishes and then I try to get the number I want.
