  2. The weeds which the farmers and gardeners think the most harmful are the ragwort, dock and nettles. They spread rapidly and after a time the gardens and fields become covered with weeds. Sometimes they destroy the vegetables and other eatables which grow in gardens and fields. When men and boys are pulling these weeds they have to be careful how they pull them
