    There was another near Knockbridge. The subjects taught in these schools were, Irish, Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Arithmetic, History, and French.
    If the English soldiers found any of these schools they used to put the teachers to death. There was a reward given to any one who could give information concerning the whereabouts of a hedge school or a hedge-schoolmaster.
