    the sky is the sign of rain. A rainbow in the morning is the shepherds warning. A rainbow at night is the shepherds delight.
    The Birds. When you hear the robin chirping near the door it is the sign of rain. When ducks quack loudly it is the sign of rain.
    Insects. The cricket sings louder than ever when there is going to be rain. Swarms of midges fly very low when rain is approaching.
