    was a man trying to frighten him, so he (paddy) lifted a stick and made at the ghost. The the ghost disappeared and all the houses at McDonald's seemed to fall. The Paddy's arm fell as if it were broken and the sweat bagan to boil on him. He made his way out to the broad road again and reached home by a circuit very frightened.

  2. About thirty years ago there was a man named Peter Smyth and he used to come on his "ceile" to our house.
    On this particular night he was in our house and stayed till about twelve o'clock when he got up to go home.
    He was only down the road a short distance opposite Murphy's gate (which is called McGaff's) when an object appeared in front of him.
